Mary is a college student from South Carolina who is currently pursuing an undergraduate
degree in Professional Writing. An avid reader since kindergarten, she began writing snippets of
her own stories in elementary school. She now enjoys writing fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
Mary believes that the written word is necessary to preserve the English language for future
generations, and she hopes to both encourage others to enjoy reading and enable them to
communicate their own ideas effectively through their clear and coherent writing. After finishing
college, she plans to continue writing while teaching English classes at a Christian school.
